Cookie Policy

Short and honest: two cookies, one to keep you signed in and one to credit a shared Track ID — and nothing here tracks you.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you between page loads. Some are essential for a site to function; others exist to track you. So Far So Good uses only the first kind.

2. The cookies we use

Sign-in cookies (prefixed sb-, managed by our authentication provider Supabase). Their single purpose is keeping you signed in to your account. They contain your session token, are set when you log in and cleared when you log out.

One share cookie (sfsg_v), set only if you arrive through a shared Track ID. It holds a random value and nothing else: not your name, not your account, and no record of what you listened to or looked at. Its only job is to credit the person whose share brought you here, should you go on to unlock an Early Copy of that track. The credit lasts 7 days per track; the cookie itself expires after a year.

3. What we don't use

No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no social-media pixels, and no device fingerprinting — we never read your fonts, canvas, screen or hardware to recognise you. Neither cookie above follows you between tracks or between sites, and neither is ever read by anyone but us. We do count how many people visit each day, but that uses no cookie and stores nothing on your device; how it works is in section 2 of the Privacy Policy — and none of it comes from tracking cookies.

4. Why there is no cookie banner

Consent banners are required for cookies that track you. Because we set only cookies that are needed to deliver what you asked for — staying signed in, and honouring the share you followed — there is nothing to interrupt you about. If we ever introduce a cookie that tracks or profiles you, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

5. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. The consequences on So Far So Good: you won’t be able to stay signed in, and if you followed someone’s shared Track ID, they won’t be credited for it.

6. Changes and contact

If our use of cookies changes, this page and its date will change with it. Questions: the contact form.
